This Privacy Policy describes how Border Queue Monitor ("Service", "we", "us") handles information when you use our service.
1. Service Operator
The Service is operated from Finland, European Union. By using the Service, you agree to the processing of data as described in this policy.
2. Data We Collect
2.1 Telegram User Data
When you access the Service through Telegram Mini App, the following data is transmitted by Telegram:
- Telegram user ID (numeric identifier)
- Telegram username (if set)
- Telegram first name (if available)
Telegram provides this data as part of Mini App authentication. The Service uses the user ID as a stable pseudonymous `tg_` analytics identifier so Mini App and bot activity can be joined. Telegram username and first name are not sent to analytics providers.
2.2 Analytics Data
We use PostHog (EU-hosted project) and Firebase Analytics (Google) to understand usage. Depending on how you access the Service, analytics may be anonymous or linked to the pseudonymous Telegram identifier described above. Data includes:
- Pages viewed, queue status loaded, and features used
- Device type, screen size, and general geographic region
- Session duration and return-visit timing
- Referrer and campaign, partner, or deep-link attribution parameters
PostHog stores a browser identifier and first-touch/session attribution in browser storage. A local timestamp is also stored to classify visits separated by 30 minutes.
2.3 Data We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect email addresses, phone numbers, or payment information
- We do not create login accounts or store Telegram profile names in analytics
- We do not store Telegram authentication payloads in our application database
- We do not use analytics data for advertising or sell it
3. How We Use Data
Data is used exclusively for:
- Authenticating requests via Telegram Mini App
- Understanding how the Service is used (analytics)
- Improving the Service
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except as described in Section 4.
4. Third-Party Services
The Service uses the following third-party services that may process data:

5. Advertising

6. Data Retention
- PostHog and Firebase retain analytics according to the configured project and provider retention settings
- Telegram authentication data is not persistently stored and is discarded after request validation
- You may request access or deletion using the contact in Section 10
7. Your Rights (GDPR)
As a resident of the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the following rights:
- Right of access — request a copy of data we hold about you
- Right to erasure — request deletion of your data
- Right to restriction — request limitation of data processing
- Right to object — object to data processing
- Right to data portability — receive your data in a portable format

8. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

The Service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
